Leonard Slatkin is one of the most renowned conductors in the world.
In addition to serving as the music director for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre National de Lyon, he has also conducted virtually all of the leading orchestras in the world. Add to that his work as a composer, author and educator, and one can see why Mr. Slatkin is so revered.
At 115 years of age, the Orchestre National de Lyon is a much venerated institution in its native France. It tours regularly to Japan and the United States, has won a number of awards for various recordings over the years and continuously promotes the work of new composers.
You’ll like this show if you like legendary conductors, orchestras or classical music. This show is not for you if you are not a fan of orchestras or classical music.
